Dr Wendy Frappell-Cooke CPsychol, CSci, AFBPsS, is a Consultant Psychologist, Approved BPS Supervisor and EMDR Consultant Supervisor. She is also BABCP Accredited. She is a past UKPTS Board Member and is a member of the European Society of Trauma and Dissociation. She specialises in complex trauma, dissociative disorders and CFS/ME and has presented in those areas. She also specialises in combat related trauma having worked in the Ministry of Defence for the past 10 years, including at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre for military personnel suffering severe physical injuries. Her Doctoral research was on Trauma Risk Management within the military in relation to PTSD and Stigma, which included Guilt Related PTSD and her MSc research on the Impact and coping strategies of females living with Domestic Violence. She also has direct experience of exposure to trauma as a Police Officer working with major crimes such as murders, child abuse and rape, leaving in the rank of Detective Inspector. We are privileged to have Wendy as part of our team and her vast experience brings a wealth of knowledge to our trainings.
