JESSICA WOOLLISCROFT-EMDR EUROPE FACILITATOR

Jessica Woolliscroft is an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Supervisor and a member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. She has worked in the mental health field since 1983 in private practice, therapeutic communities, secure mental health settings, voluntary sector projects and NHS Primary and Secondary Care settings. In each setting she has held clinical and supervisory roles. Jessica has many years’ experience of project management, recently co-founding a Community Interest Company, offering training placements, assessment and therapy to the local community. From 2000 to 2010 she led an NHS Focus Group on Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) which raised £12,000 from the Health Authority to train NHS staff in the treatment of adult CSA survivors. Jessica has sat on the Board of Directors and Ethics Committee of her professional body for many years, been a member of EMDR UK and Ireland North West Regional Group and facilitated a South Cheshire EMDR Peer Support group for many years.  We are very pleased to have Jessica on our facilitating team.  Jessica is interested in how socio – economic, cultural and environmental forces interact with attachment trauma to affect the diagnostic and treatment process. She is also exploring how understanding depth psychology can enhance the use of EMDR, particularly with patients with attachment trauma and dissociative coping styles who are highly likely to be diagnosed with personality disorder and/or complex developmental PTSD.
