We draw your specific attention to our Cancellation Policy and Health Information below:

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation Insurance ...

If you find yourself unable to attend within the transfer period specified in our terms and conditions, we regret to inform you that we cannot process a refund. This includes instances of non-attendance or late cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, bereavement, or travel disruptions.

However, we do offer a cancellation insurance option for unforeseen events. This allows you to either book another training session or receive a refund for your course in case of the aforementioned circumstances. Please note that this option permits only one transfer or cancellation to another session, subject to availability.

For added peace of mind, cancellation insurance can be purchased either at the time of booking or within the specified cancellation window, typically 8 weeks or more before the first day of your training. It's essential to note that if insurance is purchased after this date, it will be void as it does not align with the terms outlined. Please refer to our terms for more details.

Part 1 & 2 = £115 Inc vat

Part 3 & 4 = £115 Inc vat

All 4 parts = £230 Inc vat

Please note, the cancellation insurance is non-refundable once purchased

This can be made via secure credit card (no charge) debit card transaction (no charge) or bank transfer (no charge), once your eligibility to attend is confirmed.

employer PAYMENTS ...

If the delegates employer is funding the course, and the payment is delayed by 3 months or more the delegate will be charged the course fees. If the delegate books on the course and an invoice is raised and we have confirmed your place the cancellation fees still apply and your employer will still be charged even if you cancel your training out of the cancellation period. With email, you will have given us notice in time as long as you get your email to us before midnight on that day. For the avoidance of doubt, if you are booked on an all parts of the course, then this is calculated as one booking with one start date. Accordingly, please use the date of your first booked training day for Part 1 as the relevant date for calculation of cancelling your order, if required.

The cancellation periods enable us to remain cost effective and allows us time to try and fill a cancelled booking. With regret therefore, no refunds will be made if the cancellation periods are not adhered to (even when your non- attendance is due to sickness or bereavement). General terms & health advice

HEALTH ADVICE ...

Please do get in touch with us if you are in the 1st or 3rd trimester of pregnancy. This is because you work on some of your own memories during the course which may increase your emotions and you may find upsetting or cause distress. We sometimes have delegates that are pregnant and attend the course.

We advise those that do attend do so purely at their own risk because they will still have to work on their own material during the course as an essential part of the training. If they still attend we then advise them to work with easier / safer memories.

Please also inform the trainer prior to the training if you suffer with

vertigo, inner ear problems, migraines or epilepsy.

We will not be held liable for any decisions made about your own health. It is up to you to contact a health professional if you are concerned about your health.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS ...

There shall be at least 8 weeks between training Part 1 and Part 3 to allow for practice and supervision, according to regulations set out by the accrediting body, EMDR Europe.

Although the course is not formally assessed there are various conditions that must be met to complete the course; these include full participation in all practicals, positive engagement and respect for all colleagues learning the model and working with 3 clients and bringing these cases to discuss in training supervision.

In addition, working with a new model and with trauma can be challenging, therefore, The EMDR Academy reserves the right to withdraw delegates from the course at any point if they deem them unsuitable for the training. The safety of clients and clinical work will always be our top priority.

You must attend all hours of the training (0900-1730) requested of you across each of the days to gain your accredited training certificate. You must work on your own material/memories during each part of the training and full course participation is expected.

TRAINING MANUALS ...

You will be issued one manual per part of training. Replacement if lost will be charged at

£15 + VAT

FEEDBACK SURVEYS AND CERTIFICATES ...

On completion of parts 1 & 4 of the EMDR Basic training you will be sent an online feedback form via “GOOGLE FORMS" that we ask you to complete. In order to reduce our carbon footprint, all certificates will be issued in a PDF format.

There is, however, an option to purchase a hard copy of your final Part 4 certificate if you wish. Final hard copy part 4 certificates have a lead time of 6 weeks as they are professionally printed.

Due to the courses being accredited with EMDR Europe we are obliged to request feedback in the form of a survey undertaken after your training. This is to ensure that we comply with Emdr Europe standards and that you are always provided with the most up to date and relevant training.

Pdf.Certificates are only provided and will be issued after your survey has been completed. Part 1 and 4 replacement certificate PDF Versions can be provided *free of charge**

You can purchase a hard copy of Part 4 certificate.

We retain course attendance data and certificates for a period of three years from the date of completion. After this period, we do not store or maintain any data older than three years. By using our services, you consent to this data retention policy**

In accordance with our terms, we can only provide a missing or replacement certificate up to 2 years post training date
